چکیده
Abstract With the potential for a decline in fly ash (FA) production over time, due to phasing down of coal fired power plants, alternative supplementary cementitious materials need be identified. The efficiency pulverised glass powder (PGP) was studied its reactivity and capacity inhibiting alkali-silica reaction (ASR) that results from utilisation recycled as fine aggregate (sand) replacement. Characterisations pastes containing PGP reveal may possess latent hydraulic properties, resulting more than 75% strength activity index, together with better gain FA-blended pastes. also offered increased heat hydration compared FA, combination dilution effect, filler effect early-age reactions PGP. A comparable FA ASR expansion mitigation confirmed mortar bar expansions less 0.10% at cement replacement levels least 10%. Both provided alkali reduced mass transport hydrated paste refinement larger pores below 60 nm. mix consumed calcium hydroxide and, thus, performed marginally mitigating ASR. This pozzolanic is not evident PGP, whereas literature powders are often regarded pozzolanic. Microscopic images confirm significantly limit occurrence gels without altering composition. It concluded inhibitor despite underlying differences their mechanisms. result this research support both an aggregate, ASR-inhibiting SCM systems.

A comprehensive suite of geotechnical laboratory tests was undertaken on samples of recycled crushed glass produced in Victoria, Australia. Three types of recycled glass sources were tested being coarse, medium and fine sized glass. Laboratory testing results indicated that medium and fine sized recycled glass sources exhibit geotechnical behavior similar to natural aggregates. Coarse recycled ...
متن کاملLaboratory Studies of the Effect of Recycled Glass Powder Additive on the Properties of Polymer Modified Asphalt Binders
In this paper, the effect of adding recycled glass powder (RGP) as a third component in polymer modified bitumen is studied. RGP and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) is added to the base bitumen in order to prepare modified binders and mixtures. The initial study is performed to determine physical properties of unmodified, SBR modified and RGP-SBR modified asphalt binders which prove RGP's compat...

Inhibitory Effect of Waste Glass Powder on ASR Expansion Induced by Waste Glass Aggregate
Detailed research is carried out to ascertain the inhibitory effect of waste glass powder (WGP) on alkali-silica reaction (ASR) expansion induced by waste glass aggregate in this paper. The alkali reactivity of waste glass aggregate is examined by two methods in accordance with the China Test Code SL352-2006. The potential of WGP to control the ASR expansion is determined in terms of mean diame...
